This Privacy Policy describes how nevit ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the nevit workforce scheduling platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information in connection with the Service:

1.1 Account and Business Information

When you register for the Service, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, industry, and business address, in order to set up and administer your account.

1.2 Employee Information

If you use the Service to manage a workforce, we collect information about your employees that you or they submit, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, job positions, schedules, availability, time-off requests, and, where applicable, wage information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit this information to us and for providing any notices to your employees required by applicable law.

1.3 Location Information

If your business enables geofencing for time clock features, the Service collects precise geolocation data from the device of an employee or authorized user at the moment they clock in or out, solely to confirm they are physically present at the designated worksite. Location data is not collected continuously or in the background.

1.4 Usage and Device Information

We automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps of activity, in order to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including scheduling, time tracking, and reporting features;
Verify attendance at a designated worksite where geofencing is enabled;
Communicate with you about your account, including schedule notifications and service updates;
Monitor, detect, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
Comply with applicable law, regulation, and legal process;
Improve, test, and develop new features of the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: (a) service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as hosting, email delivery, and analytics, under obligations of confidentiality; (b) other users within your own business account, as required for the Service to function (for example, a manager viewing employee schedules); (c) parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections; and (d) government authorities or other third parties where required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, in line with recognized industry standards and practices. Our systems receive security updates and patches on an ongoing, regular basis to address newly identified vulnerabilities as they become known.

4.1 No Guarantee of Absolute Security

Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not liable for any unauthorized access to, alteration of, or disclosure or destruction of your information that results from the actions of a malicious third party who circumvents our security measures despite our reasonable efforts, including through cyberattacks, previously unknown ("zero-day") vulnerabilities, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the event of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the information below, or, for employee data, by contacting the business that manages your employment record, as that business controls the information submitted to the Service.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect the availability of certain features.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from Canada. If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada, where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
